Smart Mounting leads assembly technicians step by step through the installation of DIN rails, cable ducts and electrotechnical components. The software offers individualized support for each process step. It further provides a visualization of where and how each component must be placed. In addition, exact dimensions and drill patterns can also be displayed in the 3D model. Production technicians thereby receive detailed component data and visual aids at a glance, and can also access production-supporting materials and information.

Traffic-light status for components: monitoring down to each step of the work process

Eplan Smart Mounting tracks the current status of every individual component using the common traffic-light principle: completely installed components light up green, while those still needing work light up red. If there are questions about specific components, technicians can note them using the comments function and forward them to the engineering department via email or in a status report.

As a browser-based application from a central web server, you can flexibly use Eplan Smart Mounting anywhere. Depending on how the workplace is set up, the software can be used via a web browser on larger monitors or on tablet computers, with no installation necessary. In Eplan Smart Mounting, production management creates, manages and updates all production orders from a central server. This means all assembly technicians have access to the most current data. Thanks to this centralized overview of production orders and the production status of individual orders from the workshop, production management always has a full overview and complete control of the process.

Monitoring and reporting tool for production managers

Production managers can now gain comprehensive insights into all production orders and performance indicators at a glance: The monitoring dashboards provide detailed analytics, allowing you to track the progress of your orders, identify bottlenecks and make data-driven decisions to optimize processes effectively. The central overview sums up important information about all of your orders and comments. Further, a detailed view provides you with data, e.g. about processing times and material consumption. In addition, you can export a production report for each order.

If the customer requirements change or components are missing, this can lead to changes to the production order while the control cabinet is being assembled. Smart Mounting ensures that all employees have immediate access to updated documentation. In addition, the software provides support to implement these changes.
