Learn how to create a SQL database for the dictionary
EPLAN Recommendations
Make sure that your logged-in Windows user is stored in the SQL Manager. Alternatively, you have the user name and password for the SQL-System Admin Account ready.
Make sure that your user used has been assigned at least DB Owner rights in order to be able to create databases from EPLAN.
Make sure that your EPLAN Client reaches the SQL server via the network.
Make sure that the SQL Server service and the SQL TCP/IP connection are running.
Create a database
On the ribbon, select the Tools tab > Translation > Dictionary command group.
The "Dictionary" dialog opens.
In the "SQL Server" area, activate the checkbox and select the + button (New).
Now create your new SQL database.
Enter your SQL server name and instance.
Select the desired login to connect to your SQL server.
