Standardised installation and structured initial setup

EPLAN Recommendations

  • You have opened the EPLAN Platform and carried out at least our recommended software facilities in it.
  • You have other clients that also have to be set up with the settings made.
  • If you want to save time, use the Export and Import feature.

 

EPLAN offers the possibility to distribute settings via an automatic, configured add-on technology. The EPLAN Consulting Team will support you in setting it up. Contact us via the contact button below.

 

Export and import settings

  1. On the ribbon, select the File tab > Backstage Settings settings > Settings Users > Administration > items.
  2. Highlight the "Items" category and press the right mouse button.
  3. Select [Export].
  4. The "Export Settings" dialog opens, EPLAN automatically suggests the correct storage directory and a unique file name.
  5. Confirm with [OK].
  6. Repeat the steps for your other settings, but at least for your project management database and dictionary settings.
  7. Start EPLAN on your other clients.
  8. On the ribbon, select the File tab > Backstage Settings settings > Settings Users > Administration > items.
  9. Highlight the category "Articles" and press the right mouse button.
  10. Select [Import].
  11. Select the previously exported *. XML file.
  12. Repeat the steps for your other settings, but at least for your project management database and dictionary settings.
